Pasta & Shrimp With Creole Seasoning
This is a quick, simple, and delicious dinner you can make in just a couple of minutes.
| 12 oz

fettuccine pasta |
| 1 tbl | olive oil |
| 1 ½ lbs | shrimp, peeled and deveined |
| 1 tbl |
Creole seasoning. Tony's is popular, we use The Stuff |
| 2 tbl | butter |
| 4 to 5 cloves |
garlic, minced or squeezed through a garlic
press |
| 1 cup
|
heavy cream |
| ½ cup |
Parmesan
cheese, grated (Not that sawdust in a can stuff. Grate
some yourself.) |
| Chopped parsley |
Bring a large
pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook it
according to the package directions.
While the pasta is cooking, turn the heat to medium high in a large skillet and add the olive oil. Add the shrimp and Creole seasoning and cook for 2 or 3 minutes or until the shrimp are pink. Put the shrimp on a plate and set them aside.
Keep the heat at medium high and add the butter to the skillet. When it melts, add the garlic. Stir this for 30 seconds, Don't brown the garlic. Add the cream and bring to a simmer. When the cream starts to simmer, slowly stir in the Parmesan cheese. Bring this to a simmer and let it cook for a few minutes.
Add the
shrimp to the skillet and stir well. Keep stirring until the
shrimp are heated.
By this time the pasta should be cooked. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet. Stir well.
Serve
garnished with the parsley.
